What it means today to be a Warrior?  That is, a Jupiter Warrior.  As we enter another Championship Weekend and Final Four, we can reflect on what it means.  It is a “Belief”, that at the start of every season they can compete to win a State Championship.  It also comes with a draw back that every season that is not decorated by the “Bling of the Ring”, is a losing season.

The Seniors of the 2021 Team have never entered a season without the “Belief”, that they could bring home the Gold.  As Freshman, they participated and played a part of the Programs first State Title in 2018.  Their Sophomore year they made it to the Final Four and narrowly lost in the Semi Finals to the eventual State Champion Ponte Verde.  Their Junior year was cut short due to the Pandemic, but they displayed the play and confidence to achieve another Championship Weekend.

This “Belief” is founded in the Brotherhood of being a Jupiter Warrior.  A legacy of commitment passed from Program year to Program year.  If we could trace this belief to its origin, it would be the Class of 2012 to today.  2012 was the first time JUP made it to a Championship Weekend, losing in the Semi’s to Saint Andrews.  The Class of 2015 as Freshman in 2012, created the drive to get back to that weekend.  That drive lead them to, in their Senior year being the number one ranked Team in the State most of the season.  Only to fall short in the Regional Championship game against Saint Andrews.  The 2018 Class witnessed this as Freshman in 2015 and fueled their drive to achieve victory and the elusive Title.  Look in the “Stands” on any big game night or college spring break weekend, and you will see this Brotherhood.  Alumni, Alumni parents supporting the Warrior tradition, a “Belief” in this program and how special this life experience and Brotherhood is to our community.

The Class of 2021 has again battled to get the program back to the Final Four.  They “Believe”.  They learned this “Belief”, from their Warrior Brothers that Led the Way before and will battle for their Legacy this weekend. So let’s go Warrior Alumni, come and support your Legacy this weekend if you’re available.  For the Warrior Class of 2024, lessons learned early, will assist in victories in the future.
